Biotor Industries Limited formerly known as "Jayant Oils and Derivatives Limited" has developed various industrial applications of Castor seed. 

At a very early stage, Biotor developed various Castor Oil derivatives through its research team and commercially produced a number of such Castor Oil derivatives at our Mazgaon unit started nearly as early as 1952, which found wide acceptance both in domestic and international markets. 

In order to take control of its supply chain and meet its own Castor Oil requirements, Biotor started a high-tech Castor Seed Crushing Plant at Baroda in 1974. This unit also manufactures various grades of Castor Oil and its derivatives. This is the only GMP Certified unit in the World to manufacture Pharma grade castor oil. 

Castor Oil is a very versatile product with it's usage in many industries. Castor is Bio-sustainable and Bio-Renewable. It has a very unique structure. Castor cake is a by-product and is used as a fertilizer. 

Biotor to a great extent is responsible for putting castor on the world map. Biotor enjoys goodwill associated with more than 50 years of presence in the castor industry. Almost 75% of our turnover is from exports to over 50 countries with the US, European Union, Japan and Australia being major contributors.

Discovering new technologies & putting them to work has always been the focus of our activities. Our state-of-the-art research center at Mazgaon, Mumbai is devoted exclusively to the development of castor oil based products & their applications. This has been recognized by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR). We are working in close co-operation with our customers to match their application needs. 

In line, with the objective of being present across value chain, the company has taken steps to secure its forward integration plans through widespread castor farming activities in non-traditional geography. 

In order to be closer to our consumers we have taken steps and established forward linkages in the form of our own subsidiaries in the USA, Europe and representative office in China. 

Biotor's fertilizer division also markets castor meal, a balanced, rich, organic nutrient rich in N:P:K used for crops as varied as tea, sugarcane, mushrooms & mangoes.
